If you are doing any kind of study of plants, this is a great place to do it. Everything is grouped and labeled very clearly and it's easy to find what you are looking for.

I used to go here to jog - it was beautiful with both paved and dirt paths. You can actually take a 'drive' through the park that allows you to see a good part of it without ever getting out of your car. It's especially beautiful in the spring when the lilacs are blooming and in the fall with the colors.

It's a drive to find this place but once you do it's quite a little hidden gem!

These beautiful gardens and nature trails are great for any age. While this is set up to be done as a self guided tour we took a small group of scouts and a used a couple of their staff guides. They gave the kids so much wonderful information about the trees, plants and wild life and the importance of taking care of the world around you. It was a great time. Our Boy Scouts also use it several times a year for hiking and nature studies. They also offer badges in the area of Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.

Along with all that is a driving trail so you don't even have to get out of you vehicle. But I would recommend walking, jogging, or riding your bike so that you can really appreciate it. In the winter you can cross country ski along the trails so it's great year round outdoor fun. Oh yeah, don't forget to take your picnic lunch!
