| Herndon Depot Museum |
| The Herndon Depot Museum houses railroad memorabilia, information on Commander William Lewis Herndon, for whom the town was named; artifacts from the U.S.S Herndon destroyer from WWII, and artifacts from local residents. Operated by the Historical Society of Herndon, the building dates back to the 1850s and served as a train station in the dairy community until 1968. |

 | | Margaret D., Co-op Member | | This is a very tiny museum. The workers (usually just one) are friendly and welcoming. The artifacts from WWII are interesting, and would be of special interest to those interested in WWII naval history. However, my children can go through this entire museum in about 5 minutes, 10 max. It is fun to stop in if you are in the area and are walking around downtown Herndon, but it is not a destination in itself. |
