Facility:Heritage Station Museum
Description:Built in the early 1900's, the old Georgia-Florida Depot has been restored and serves as the Heritage Station Museum for Douglas and Coffee County. Throughout the years, the railroad has played a major part in Douglas' phenomenal success. Step back in time and visit Heritage Station Museum, featuring quality exhibits and collections including Railroad, Native American, Business & Industry, Education, Medical, Early 1900's Clothing, Photography, Research Library, and monthly temporary exhibits. Enjoy a look at the rich cultural assets of rural Georgia. While you're there, visit the "Rose Tea Room" and take home a local souvenir. Scheduled group tours are available.
