| Pick your own apples - 8 varieties to choose from. Check out the pizza garden including tomatoes, peppers, garlic and herbs. They also sell preserves, jellies, salsa, honey and fruit butters in the Apple House (some of these items are sugar free). Homeschool, public and private schools, as well as garden clubs all welcome for field trips. |

The tour involves: the gardens complete with strange things like loofah growing; animals such as chickens and goats; a peek inside a bee hive; and education under that patio. We remember learning about beekeeping, spinning cotton, juicing apples, how to pick an apple properly.
I'm sure there was more in the talk, but I had a toddler and missed a bit.
The apples did not grow well due to weather and other issues. They gave everyone an apple grown elsewhere, but when the crop is doing well you actually get to pick an apple. |
