Description:Hawi is the northernmost city on Hawaii and the largest city in North Kohala. This sleepy little town is filled with art galleries, shops and a few restaurants.

Hawi was once a booming sugar town when thousands of surrounding acres were cultivated by Kohala Sugar.The Company shut down operations in the 1970's.
