| Happy Cow Creamery |
Organic Milk and Produce Farm offering a full tour of the farm and creamery. The farm has been operating now for 30 years and now you can see what it takes to run a dairy. Since they bottle their own milk, they are able to offer more to see than most typical dairies. They also offer strawberry picking when in season. They are the only bottling plant in the world located in a Harveststore silo. Your group can actually see the "Got Milk" process from beginning to end. These tours are sure to be educational with a touch of good ol' farm fun!
Start the tour with a trolley ride around the 100-acre farm where you can see the lush grazing paddocks. Next get introduced to one of the Holsteins and hopefully see a new baby calf. Then go through the milking parlor and lastly take a look at the Creamery where the milk is bottled and sold. They also provide a sample of Happy Cow Creamery milk to top off your visit. |

 | | Jennifer J., Co-op Member | | Wonderful way to get a real "taste" of the country, from preschoolers to senior citizens. You get up close and personal with lots of cows, from the pastures to the milking barn. The process is as interesting as the milk is good - in chocolate and strawberry too. Top off your visit with fresh ice cream in the picnic pavilion, where kids can "milk" a tin cow. |

 | | Susan W, Co-op Member | The best time to go to Happy Cow is during the annual South Carolina Upstate Farm Tour, typically held in June. For a small fee, you can gain access to many farms, including Happy Cow, a goat farm, several orchards, old-fashioned small farms, an alpaca farm, and even a worm farm! Be ready to get dirty!
We are blessed to live near the Happy Cow Creamery and often enjoy the friendliness of their staff and the milk will amaze you! BE SURE to try their chocolate milk!!! We took a wagon ride all through the farm and our guide was a wealth of information about the cows, the land, and the amazing story of how the farm came to be organic, which you can also read about in the children's book "The Happy Cows." |
