| Hamill House |
| Construction started on this house in 1867, and it was expanded over the next two decades until it reached its present form. The grounds include a privy (divided in half for family and servants), a carriage house and stable, office and laundry building. The house is interesting for its early use of bay windows and solarium. The house contains the original walnut woodwork, wall and ceiling papers, and four fireplaces. There are lots of other fine Victorians in Georgetown, so be sure to drive or walk around a bit. |
