Age Range: 8 and up (with parental supervision) Fruitcakes are prevalent during the holidays. At this website you can watch videos and see photographs of how Trappist monks at Gethsemani Farms in Kentucky have been supporting themselves since 1848 by making and selling fruitcakes.

When you get to the site, you can watch some video clips of different aspects of the manufacturing process including loading the cakes into the oven, injecting them with bourbon, and packaging them for distribution.
