 | | Shawne B, Co-op Member | | We visited the GA Sea Turtle Center when our planned bike ride around the island was cut short by injury. We were pleasantly surprised to find a very informative mini-museum and educational area, knowledgable staff and of course the thrill of seeing live turtles in their rehabilitation area. When I got home I immediately set up a field trip for our homeschool group. Jekyll Island is an interesting place and would make a great day or overnight trip. There are very reasonable hotels on the island as well as a very nice campground. |
