Outdoor fun on a real working farm! Located on picturesque Whaletail Lake in Minnetrista, Gale Woods Farm features a unique educational opportunity where visitors of all ages will gain an understanding of agriculture, food production and land stewardship.
Get out and explore the park on your own, arrange a field trip, or attend a public event. You can also buy fresh food and yarn, have a picnic by the lake or host a celebration. Take part in their seasonal programs and enjoy hayrides, explore orchards, make a craft from sheep's wool or harvest fresh garden produce. And don't forget to meet the animals on the farm! |

 | | Lisa Buettner, Co-op Member | | Gale Woods does a fantastic job at arranging fun educational field trips and classes for homeschool kids of any age. My kids have been taking classes there for years, and have never done the same activity twice. As they get older, the classes give them more responsibility. My 9 year old daughter named her own newborn lamb this spring and every week she weighed and measured her and helped feed and care for her. They have an educational building for indoor classes. There's a large kitchen so many classes involve cooking with produce from the farm. It's also a beautiful place with hiking trails through the pastures so parents and siblings can explore during the class. |
