| Discover the power of energy. Learn about weather and agriculture! Touch a 10-foot tornado, create a cloud, and learn about precipitation from local meteorologists. Shop in the convenience store and pump bio-fuel at the station. Climb a tree house, crawl through the giant tree trunk, or plant vegetables in the garden. "Drive" a John Deere combine cab through the cornfields at harvest time. Make your own kind of music on a Clavinova or with a bicycle wheel in a whimsical area called Happenstanza. For active kids of all ages, the outdoor "Kingdom for Kids" Playground, has things to climb, slide down, swing across, go up and down and slither around. Lots of fun all in one place! |

 | | Ann R, Co-op Member | This museum has a wonderful toddler play area and very fun John Deere tractor area.
The outdoor play area is also great for toddler to about age 8. There is a water feature, play structure, and open air theater area.
The museums displays are geared towards preschool to about age 8 in my opinion. Not as varied hands on activities as some museums, but has a cool tornado maker when you walk in, variety of music activities, large John Deere area with tractor and food market, and a story time area in the back of the museum where kids can act out part of traditional fairy tales like The 3 Bears.
Overall my 4 yr old loved it. |
