Earthplace - The Nature Discovery Center

Description:

The mission of Earthplace is to educate about nature & the environment. Visitors can learn about nature by exploring the hands-on exhibits in Natureplace & the Ecology Resource Lab. Get up close to wildlife in the Animal Hall & outdoor Birds of Prey exhibit area. See what plants are found in Connecticut in the Native Plant Courtyard. Take a walk on our 62-acre property on one of the trails.

Open 9:00-5:00 Monday through Saturday and 1:00-4:00 on Sunday. Grounds open daily 7:00 to dusk.

Love this place. Beautiful wooded setting with nice trails for walking and indoor and outdoor live animal displays of rescued and injured animals. Helpful and informative people and a nice building. A great little kids play space with all kinds of things to do. The couple of events we've been to have been great.
