 | | Charlotte D., Co-op Member | | This is an interesting destination only if your children are already fascinated with animals. In the winter, the lemurs are housed in temporary cages and you are only able to see them through a plastic cage that is further removed from their main enclosure. It is hard to get a good look. The tour guides are also volunteers and have varying degrees of knowledge. This is NOT a zoo, which accounts for the sparse visitor accommodations. That being said, this is the place to see the most types of lemurs in the Northern Hemisphere, and the cost is very minimal for school groups, only $3 per person. The tour is outside, so dress appropriately. |
