 | | C. Webb, Co-op Member | | This zoo is quite nice, but it is smaller than other zoos we have visited in other states. It's very clean and they have a great bird show where the birds fly right over your head. We try to go at least once a year. It is open all year around, though we've only been in the summer. |

 | | Bobbi B., Co-op Member | | One of my childrens favorite places to visit regularly. We try to go at slow times so that trainers and volunteers have platny of time to answer questions. The zoo is highly active in breeding and species preservation projects so there are often babies to be seen, which the zoo provides introduction signs for. Several of the species housed here can only be seen in one or two other US zoos so we feel quite honored and spoiled to see them regularly. Do be aware that there are some evolution teaching signs, particulary near the monkey and ape area, so be prepared to address the issue with inquisitive children. However, when we've scheduled group trips or classes and pointed out that we'd like no evolutionary teaching the zoo has been happy to accomodate us. |
