I took my daughter to visit the Deer Park two years ago and was severely disappointed at the treatment of some of these animals. The pigs were obviously ill, the bobcat was in a cage about 10 foot by 20 feet, and most of the cages (all too small, mind you) were in desperate need of cleaning.
Of the "story book" items, many were broken and didn't tell the stories that we paid to listen to.
My father grew up visiting this place, and we were all sickened by the state of this location. We have not been back since our visit two years ago, but I sincerely hope that either they've improved their situation or that PETA has closed this place down permanently. |
