Augusta's striking red-brick Cotton Exchange building is one of the area's most recognizable landmarks and was an major part of the cotton industry in the late 19th century. Now housing a Welcome Center for visitors, a convention center and small museum, the Cotton Exchange is an important part of Augusta history.
