 | | Mera McLean, Co-op Member | | Cosley Zoo is free! My children would go to Cosley Zoo everyday if I'd let them! We have taken advantage of many of the children's programs, including doing "Morning Chores"...where my 8 and 10 year old girls mucked out the stalls and fed the animals, cleaned the outdoor stalls. This was a fantastic program, as it gave one on one time with zoo keepers, and allowed my animal lovers a glimpse into the tremendous amount of work a farm is. We have asked millions of questions, been allowed to pet many of the animals, and drawn pictures of our favorite pets to give to the zookeepers. It is small enough to not wear the parents out ;0), but large enough to keep the interest of your child! |
