| Copper Queen Mine |
One of the greatest copper mines ever known, the Copper Queen Mine was in production for almost 100 years before it closed in 1975. The underground tour takes you 1500 ft into the mine and discusses the history of mining.
It is very cool down in the mine so dress warm. Tours fill up so reservations are helpful and can be made on their website. There is a gift shop with many interesting rocks and minerals at reasonable prices.
