| Clifton Mill |
The Historic Clifton Mill is one of the largest water powered grist mills still in existence. Built in 1802, the mill was originally called Davis Mill by it's founder Owen Davis. The Clifton Mill was built in this location to take advantage of the natural power of the concentrated water funneled into the gorge. We encourage you to come visit the mill in person. It will be an enjoyable and educational experience you will long remember.

 | | Military Mom, Co-op Member | The mill is a wonderful experience for children of all ages. On special days, you can see the inter-workings of the mill. My children were fascinated to see the process in action, from wheat being ground to sampling the end product.
The Christmas time light display is fantastic! There are millions of lights coordinated to music. There are even lights on the paddle of the mill! They also have a Santa Claus workshop with a live "Santa" who climbs up an down the chimney and greets the children. It has become a family tradition to visit this location! |
