| Christ Church |
| This church was founded in 1695 and still functions as a church. Many of the signers of the Declaration of Independence and other important figures in the founding of our country are buried here and in the burial grounds on 5th Street. The original candle chandelier still hangs, and William Penn's baptistry which he brought over from England stands in the back of the church. You can sit in the pews of Washington and Franklin, as well as hear the history from the people who work at the church. Group tours are offered. |
