4) Language arts: providing opportunities to read, discuss, explore, get material for lapbooks, journaling, essays

Peak age of enjoyment: 0-10 y.o. but older children, youth, adults and grandparents can really have fun
Pros: as much play as you can handle all laid out and ready to go, special interest stations and events, friendly staff, Houston Public Library branch in the museum, free family nights 5-8 p.m. Thursdays, lots of fun across broad range of ages, activities
Cons: it is pretty much always crowded, tough to keep track of children in Power Play area and there are unguarded exits in Power Play, Invention Convention and Cyberchase areas
Cautions: adult supervision important, paid parking only |
