Chattanooga Zoo at Warner Park

Description:

Welcome to Chattanooga’s hidden jewel, the Chattanooga Zoo at Warner Park! This attraction is drawing more attention with locals and tourists alike. The Chattanooga Zoo sits on 6 acres in the middle of Warner Park, just 2-miles from downtown Chattanooga. It features animals and information from all over the world, including Latin America, North America, Africa, and Asia.

The Warner Park Ranch Exhibit invites visitors to directly interact with the ‘ranch’ animals. The Gombe Forest features chimpanzees, the Himalayan Passage features red pandas, the highly endangered “Bali-Mynahs”, and Asian Elongated tortoises, and the Zoo's newest exhibit, the Cougar Express, features Mountain Lions. Those are just a few of the many exhibits you will see during your journey through our wonderful zoo. Visit the Snow Leopards and Langurs exhibit in the Himalayan Passage.

Not a big zoo, but fun for a family outing. They are growing, so some construction may be going on while you're there. Homeschool classes and Wednesdays are only $1! Check before you go.

This zoo is fun to visit and is growing in wonderful ways. It is fairly small, but there is still much to see. A family membership is quite reasonable and well worth the cost as it gives you free admission to the Knoxville Zoo as well as discounts to other nearby zoos and aquariums too. We always enjoy our days with the animals at the Chattanooga Warner Park Zoo!

This small zoo has its own charm. My favorite thing is that the kids can get up very close to most of the animal exhibits, much closer than they can at a larger zoo. Visit on Wednesdays or with a group for the best price. Or get a membership. You'll save money, get into reciprocal zoos for free or a discount, and you'll help Warner Park grow. One of our favorite zoos!

The price is not bad for the Chattanooga Zoo especially on Wed. when they do dollar admission. I won't take the kids back though. This zoo is small and the animals are lacking care. I was really disappointed by this. My children did learn a lot about how animals should be cared for through our discussions so it did open up an opportunity for us.
