At Chabot Space & Science Center, the universe is yours to experience. Set amid 13 trail-laced acres of East Bay parkland, with glorious views of San Francisco Bay and the Oakland foothills, Chabot is a hands-on celebration of sights, sounds, and sensations.

Hours:

Regular Hours: Closed Monday & Tuesday: holiday exceptions below, Wednesday & Thursday: 10 am – 5 pm, Friday & Saturday: 10 am – 10 pm, Sunday: 11 am – 5 pm. Last Entry One Hour Before Closing

Summer Hours: Tuesday - Thursday: 10 am - 5 pm Friday & Saturday: 10 am - 10 pm Sunday: 11 am - 5 pm

The Center closes for maintenance for 2 weeks in September, see Special Closings for exact dates and any other changes to the regular schedule.

Holiday Hours: Open 10 am - 5 pm: (unless otherwise noted) on MLK Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day and Labor Day

Center Closed: July 4, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day

Annual Special Events New Year's Eve Balloon Drop: Dec. 31 (tickets go on sale October 1)

Telescope Viewing: Friday – Saturday evenings, weather permitting: November – March: 7:30 - 10 pm, April – October: Dusk - 10:30 pm (Daylight Saving Time)

Our family enjoyed this Science museum. We enjoyed viewing the stars also. The only thing we didn't like is the focus on evolution and millions of years.
