 | | Bama Taylor, Co-op Member | | Our family loves Burrit on the Mountain. We're planning another trip soon. Try to go in the Spring when they have their festival! All the houses are "working" during the festival. Kids get to make butter, study a garden, help milk a goat and more. We really had a good time! |

Tour the Burritt mansion and walk through the park, where you can tour a barnyard and pet the animals (sometimes), view 19th-century houses that have been moved to the site, and a 19th-century church. Volunteers demonstrating blacksmithing, cooking over open fires, spinning and more.
Come prepared to spend an hour or more. My kids won't let me leave in less than 2 hours. The first time we visited, my daughter was on crutches, and still we were there for 2 1/2 hours! They do provide a few wheel chairs if anyone needs them. |
