| Facility: | Buchanan Art Center |
| Description: | The Buchanan Art Center provides 3 exhibit galleries for local artists, art classes for all ages, a small library, and a gift shop that supports local artists and the work of art center. Gallery exhibits change about every 1-2 months with each new exhibit having an opening where the community can meet the artist. Periodically, there are free musical concerts in the main gallery. The art center tries to have at least one juried art exhibit per year which involves students from the community. Homeschoolers are encouraged to set up art classes at the center--a minimum of five students are needed, and any class that the center offers can be scheduled for homeschoolers. |
