 | | Jennifer, Co-op Member | | Definitely one of Toronto's better attractions, it's a bit hard to get to Pioneer Village, but worth the haul to the city's north end (theoretically, a subway is coming in our lifetimes...). Knowledgeable historical interpreters are in almost every building to explain the building and answer all your questions. We were talking about one house that was from the period of the Little House on the Prairie books and my daughter was delighted to meet an interpreter who was a HUGE Laura Ingalls Wilder fan, who'd been to many of the real Laura Ingalls sites and homesteads. Highlights include the General Store and the Doctor's House, but almost every building has interesting things for kids to see & do. |
