 | | E. Renicks, Co-op Member | Even though the zoo is undergoing renovations for a new section opening in 2011, it is still a great way to spend an afternoon. My sons especially enjoy the "Alabama Barn" area where they get to pet farm animals and see them up close. Another favorite is watching the Sea Lions and the Reptile building. At the end of each trip to the zoo, we spend time at their playground or in the play area in the water fountain (in the summer). The zoo is definitely kid friendly, offers a lot of activities in addition to animal viewing, and the staff has always been helpful and friendly, even when we have a big group going.
We look forward to even more fun when the new Trails of Africa section opens in the spring of 2011. |
