Explore the Bay’s wonders as you walk through crystal clear tunnels surrounded by thousands of the Pacific’s fascinating residents. This is your chance to go face-to-face with the ocean’s unique animals. From captivating bat rays to rare angel sharks to the graceful giant Pacific octopus, it truly is an extraordinary look at life under the Bay. Aquarium of the Bay is a great alternative to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. However, its focus is the Bay ecosystems and its underwater species. In the clear tunnels you will see lots leopard shark, giant octopus, purple urchin, and many species that are special only to our area. It is an excellent educational place to go.
My daughter loved the aquarium. The only thing is that it's a bit smaller than we had expected and the price is higher than we'd like. BUT it is right on the Wharf so it's great area to visit after visiting the aquarium - a great plus!
