 | | Michelle, Co-op Member | We are only 10 minutes from the Hands on Museum and have been here many, many times over the years and my kids always enjoy it. What they find interesting has changed as they've grown and they often come home wanting to learn more about certain things they experienced there.
The staff is excellent and always willing to help and answer questions -they seem to actually LIKE their jobs! But then, who wouldn't working in a place like this? Be sure to check out their website before you go for "what's new". They also have great resources for science projects on their website: http://www.aahom.org/for_kids_families/science_resources/
If you have a specific time-table for visiting the museum but are not familiar with Ann Arbor, give yourself a few extra minutes for parking. There's plenty around but you might have to circle the block a time or two and many of the streets are one-way so it can be a little confusing. |

 | | Tami Kromer, Co-op Member | Excellent Children's museum!
The preschool room is a great touch for the little ones. They get to play with out worry of older kids taking over.
The museum is an old firehouse that has been refurbished. That alone is worth going for. |

 | | Jennifer R., Co-op Member | | This is a great trip for the younger set. While there are things to do for the older kids (think 10 and older), I feel like this center is a bit more attuned to the younger crowd. Lots of hands-on activities and learning. Parking is a bit of a pain as it is Ann Arbor, so be prepared to pay for your parking. |

 | | Jen D, Co-op Member | I'd actually rank this one a little on the not so great side. Going once or twice while your children are young is beneficial to build a general "like" of science and maybe even learning, but the depth and concreteness of learning is limited.
We found the environment to be over stimulating and generally a little too busy or chaotic to have much deep learning. It is a fun place for the family, but not terribly educationally satisfying. |
