| Alabama Music Hall of Fame |
Every year since the opening, there have been thousands of tourists, school children, historians and general music fans tour this facility to see, hear and learn of the many contributions made to music by Alabamians.
The accomplishments of these people are not limited to any single style of music, nor are they restricted to just the realm of performance. Their achievements span the complete spectrum from sophisticated classical composition to humble gospel songs sun without accompaniment. From performance to song writing, and from management to publishing, Alabamians have contributed in many ways to make the industry of music what it is today. |

 | | J. Thompson, Co-op Member | | We went with our homeschool group and the kids were given a clipboard with a list of questions to go on a scavenger hunt throughout the museum. They had so much fun trying to find all the answers and look for the musicians, songs, or items. At the end they were given a small treat for completing it. The best part was that they actually learned some things in the process without even realizing it. There were several people in the hall of fame that I had not realized were from Alabama. Many unique and original items were on display that were very interesting. The museum houses the first tour bus used for 10 years by the group, Alabama, and the kids loved getting to go through the bus and even sit in the driver's seat. The museum covers all genres of music, and I was surprised by how up to date it was even including a display on American Idol winners. |
