 | | Leslie, Co-op Member | | Sometimes places are really fun but they lack educational value and vice versa, but this aquarium is the perfect mix for the whole family. My husband even loved it and that's saying something! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is very expensive. At many other places my kids (7, 4, 1) rush from exhibit to exhibit, but here they stay at one long enough to actually read about that particular fish and connect it to previous learning. It is also a very peaceful enviornment (not noisy and frustrating like some other children's museums I've been to). I seriously am considering buying a membership and focusing on one particular area each time we go. For example, sharks, then hippos, then touch tank stuff, then the fish from the dark depths hallway, etc. Definitely pack your food, so that isn't an extra cost. The 4-D show is completely worth it though! |

 | | Stevi, Co-op Member | First we bought tickets through our township for a fraction of the price.
The kids had a blast spending tons of time at each area and make sure you take a camera because you never know what you're going to see! We spent all day there & never got to the outside exhibits. It was fairly hectic until the field trip kids left but once they did it was like we had the whole place to ourselves.
Note: hippos sleep most of the day & wake in the late afternoon to eat & swim. So as the field trip kids were leaving the hippos were just waking up. We easily spent over an hour watching the hippos eat, swim & poop in the floor to ceiling glass room.
Definitely worth more than one visit! |
