My kids loved their tour of Sharkarosa. We took a ride on the Safari Tram to see horses, camels, etc. They had buckets of feed that they hung off the sides of the tram to get the animals to come close. There were also animals in cages and pens, some of which the children were allowed to touch. We went as part of a private tour for our homeschool group, but I've seen they do homeschool days, as well. The only thing I didn't care for was that they only had port-o-potties. They did provide running water and (soap? hand sanitizer? I don't remember which) for washing off after touching the animals.

My 2nd grade daughter and I went on a field trip there today.. We had a great time. Riding the tram and having horses, zebras, deer, and camels eat from the buckets hanging on the outside of the tram was just way cool..( A close up of the animals) We got to pet a Lemur and baby kangaroo an experience my daughter and I will never forget.. We want to go back and take my husband and my other daughter.. If you have never been it's a place you should go.. The people that work there are very friendly and informative of the animals...thanks again for a great experience...
