Recommendations, etc., must be sent by Jan 16.
Application must be received by Feb 29.

Who Should Apply
:
High school seniors, who are United States citizens, seeking higher education at accredited four-year United States colleges or universities. Applicants must show a 3.5+ or better grade average and should document financial need.

In addition, the Foundation strongly encourages extra-curricular and community activities on the part of its applicants.

When to Apply
:
September 1st to December 1st (letter must be postmarked by December 1st) to receive a Request for Application Form. IMPORTANT NOTE: The deadline date is subject to an earlier cut-off date without notice dependent upon the number of requests received.

How and Where to Obtain A "Request for Application Form"
:
Send a brief request letter with an enclosed Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope (SASE) to Youth Foundation, 317 Madison Avenue, Suite 824, New York, NY 10017-5257 to obtain a Request for Application Form.

After receiving the Form, fill it out and staple to a letter of recommendation on official letterhead written by a teacher, advisor, principal, or coach. Enclose a SASE, and mail the three items to Youth Foundation by January 16, 2012 to ensure receipt of the application materials. NOTE: The application will not be mailed without a SASE enclosure.

Youth Foundation is a private, non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) Foundation established in 1940 by Alexander and Maude Hadden. Its basic objective is the awarding of Hadden Scholarships to exceptionally worthy, financially needy, secondary school seniors for their undergraduate college education.
