Make your own Iditarod using humans as the sled pullers!

Description:

The Iditarod starts March 1. To help get you in the spirit of things, gather together with some friends and have your own Iditarod races.

This lesson plan is very simple. Keeping safety in mind, using a sled with long ropes, each child will have the chance to be the musher and the sled-pulling dog!

Short, simple and fun, this will give your kids a chance to experience, on a smaller scale, what it would be like to participate in the Iditarod.
