When you get to the page, you will see, in the side bar, lists for history books grouped in the following periods:
American History - America Pre-1600 through America 1900's
World History - Ancient Worlds through World Wars (including the Middle Ages, and Ages of Discovery)
When you click on a book list of your choice, you see a more detailed list of the books arranged to specific time periods. For example, if you choose the 'American History Booklist - Americal Pre-1600', you will see a chronological order of history reading books for that time period --- from the Incans, Aztecs, & Mayans to the 1540's.
Each book listed is coded according to the 'Suggested Grade Level'. For example, K = Kindergarten, E = Elementary Grades 1-3, E-UE = (books for younger, fluent readers), UE = Upper Elementary: 4-6, JH = Junior High: 6-8, HS = High School: 9-12, + = and up.
You will also find Arts & Crafts to incorporate into your history lessons...plus, you can find many different coloring pages for famous people, Geography, History, Military, etc. here:

A Book in Time offer great resources for FREE maps and online interactive maps, as well as a list of books and references you can purchase for maps & timelines.
Note: Titles of books listed, whether reading or reference books, etc., are hyper-linked and you will be redirected to purchase these items. However, the free resources online are very useful in planning your history for this coming school year!
