Description:An award-winning health program, Albertsons Healthy Eaters provides the opportunity for children in grades K through 4 to have a fun experience in a real-life environment -right in their grocery store! Tour stops include various departments in Albertsons that relate to the five food groups, as well as hands-on activities and sampling. Examples include: learning how to read a nutrition label; understanding what foods are good for different parts of the body (blueberries are good for the brain!); the difference between 'sometimes' foods (candy, soda, etc.) and 'always' foods (fruits, veggies, whole grains, etc.). Tours are educational and fun!
