Description:Park Rangers lead visitors in a variety of special programs that are sure to offer every member of the family an exciting and educational experience. All of the Ranger-led programs are free and open to the public. See Hours section for several options. Other events to look for: Full Moon Walk, Stargazing with the Amateur Astronomers' Association, Candlelight Walking Tour of Fort Pickens, and Campfire Program. Contact the Naval Live Oaks Visitor Center at (850) 934-2600 for events, dates, times, and locations.

During the summer, there are daily fort tours of the fort at 11 am and 2 pm (30-45 minutes).

Every Thursday and Saturday is the Cross Island Walk which meets at the Battery Worth Picnic Area at 8:30 am (1.5 hour walk).

Every Friday is Snorkeling. Meet at the Batter Worth Picnic Area, look for the dive flag. Equipment is provided, first come, first served, or bring you own mask and snorkel. Wear water shoes. Children under 17 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Starts at 10 am (1.5 hours).

Every Sunday is Spot, Plot and Fire. Meet at Battery 234 Observation Tower at 3:30 pm.

From the Pits to the Tower: The Strange History of Battery Worth Tour. Discover keys to understanding evolution of Coastal Defense in the 50 year history of a mortar battery. Meet at Battery Worth. Tour starts at 3:30 pm (1 hour).
Admission:Per Person (1-7 days) - $3.00 (Ex., motorcycle, jogger, walker, etc.). Per vehicle (1-7 days) - $8.00. Gulf Islands Annual Pass - $25.00. Night Owl Pass (After hours access) - $30.00.
