The home opened as a museum in 1910, and it continues to draw thousands of visitors each year from all over the world. In 1941, the McLoughlin House was designated by Congress as a National Historic Site (the first in the West). Many weekends there are hands-on demonstrations.
There are Victorian Handcraft demonstrations one weekend each month from 12:00-4:00 p.m. Check their website for dates. |
