Description:Cottonwood House Historic Site is located 26 kilometres east of Quesnel, BC, CANADA. It is a preserved road house on the Gold Rush Trail to Barkerville Historic Town.

The feature of the site is Cottonwood House, in addition there are a number of historic buildings including a double barn, general store, interpretive building, and horse barn. There are a number of trails, some that border the Cottonwood River.

Wagon Rides, walks, building tours, interpretation of Cottonwood House, observation of animals, garden, play horseshoes, chip & putt golf and frisbee golf, picnic areas and a number of other activities are available at the site. Cottonwood Theatre, heritage games and scavenger hunts may also be booked for special group outings.
