Description:Located on the very site of Montreal's founding, Pointe-a-Calliere recounts six centuries of history, from the Amerindian settlements to the present day. The Montreal Museum of Archaeology and History, inaugurated in 1992 as part of the city's 350th anniversary celebrations, features an unusual narrative populated by astonishing artifacts, scale models and virtual characters. Before embarking on the permanent exhibition, an underground tour of key archaeological sites, visitors take an amazing trip through time with the multimedia show Montreal, Tales of a City.
