Description:Lemhi County was the first place Lewis and Clark crossed the Continental Divide into what is now Idaho and this museum features Lewis and Clark information. It also features the largest collection of Lemhi Shoshoni artifacts, including headdresses and peace pipes, plus the unique Ray Edwards Oriental Collection, donated by a local man who traveled extensively in Asia in the 1920's. Other Chinese artifacts date back to Chinese settlers in the area. Learn about Elmer Keith, a notorious sharp-shooter, from a display which includes his 5 gallon hat, pistol and boots.
