| Recognized as one of the country's finest zoological attractions, the Milwaukee County Zoo serves as a resource to educate, entertain and inspire. The zoo houses 2,500 animals and is noted for first birth of polar bears and siamangs in captivity. The zoo is also home to the largest group of bonobos in one location outside their native Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is also home to two of the National Zoo's World Famous cheetahs. |
