Tour the waterfront house that started as naval quarters and became a retreat for historic figures from Thomas Edison and JFK to, of course, Harry Truman. Truman, who enacted bills and wrote State of the Union addresses here, loved Key West so much he was quoted as saying "...I've a notion to move the capitol to Key West and just stay."
