Description:The Florida Museum of Natural History, located at the University of Florida, is Florida's state museum of natural history, dedicated to understanding, preserving and interpreting biological diversity and cultural heritage.

With more than 20 million specimens of amphibians, birds, butterflies, fish, mammals, mollusks, reptiles, vertebrate and invertebrate fossils, recent and fossil plants and associated databases and libraries, the Florida Museum is the largest natural history museum in the Southeast.

Hours:The museum is open all year, seven days a week except for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Please note: Last tickets sold 30 minutes prior to closing.

Monday - Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday 1 - 5 p.m.
Closed Thanksgiving & Christmas
Admission:General Admission is free, although donations are gladly accepted. There is a cover charge for special exhibits and the Butterfly Rainforest. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
