Facility:Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens
Description:The Museum is well known for its collections of significant European and American paintings and for its world-renowned collection of early Meissen porcelain. The Cummer's unique character is enhanced by three formal gardens surrounding the institution, beautifully situated on the banks of the St. Johns River.

The newly renovated Art Connections contains hands-on, interactive exhibits designed to raise visitors' understanding of the art in the museum's permanent collection. There are exhibits that are high tech and low tech, exhibits that allow for individual exploration and group interaction, and exhibits that encourage physical activity and quiet contemplation. In Art Connections, it is possible to walk through a painting, create patterns through dance, make a collage, listen to a sculpture, or paint with a virtual paintbrush.
