| Description: | As the only museum for pre school and elementary age children in five counties (Highlands, Hardee, Okeechobee, De Soto and Hendry), the Children's Museum of the Highlands offer young visitors a first museum experience, where they can learn about themselves and the world around them. The museums' educational exhibits can be used as a tool to reinforce concepts learned in school. These hands-on exhibits encourage children to use their senses to explore, discover, and experience new ideas and feelings. |
