| Is this considered to be core curriculum or supplemental? This answer from Houghton Mifflin: "This is a supplemental program that contains coverage to supplement, extend, and enhance any core program. Our goal is to fill gaps and expose student to new ways of learning through our engaging direct and explicit instruction. We are not meant to supplant, but rather supplement." |
| Can multiple students share the same account? No. Destination Math remembers where a student left off within a lesson so that the student can go back and start up again where they left off. Multiple students will trip over each other. |
| Does the parent/teacher have any way to monitor student progress? The subscriptions of Destination Math & Reading available through the Co-op do not include the teacher administrative module, which is more expensive and complex. |
| If my child finishes the Destination Math module before the year runs out, do they move onto the next module or do we have to buy a new one? You would have the option of purchasing the next Destination Math product in the series. Keep in mind that each of the Destination Math courses covers two or more grade levels. It is intended to supplement a core math curriculum such as Saxon Math. |
| Can you redo certain parts of Destination Math or does it proceed in a specific order? Yes, you take each of the Destination Math course segments as many times as you want. |
| I need technical support. Can you help? Following are the most common problems, with solutions for each:
Situation: You have multiple Destination Math and Reading courses.
Problem: You click a course link in your "My Subscription" page, but it takes you to the wrong course.
Solution: You must logout of one course on the Riverdeep website before you can login to another course. On the Riverdeep website, look for and click the "Logout" link in the upper right area of the screen, immediately below the dark blue bar.
Problem: You get kicked back to the same page after logging in.
Solution: The cause of this problem is most likely a pop-up blocker. Get help here.
Most other problems that you experience can be solved by ensuring you have the latest versions of Flash and Shockwave from Macromedia. The latest versions are available FREE via download here:
