I love it! My 12 year old son is using the astromony portion of Earth Science and Space while my 14 and 16 year olds are using biology! I just today found the teacher's area and the quizes and tests are wonderful! I also like the worksheets although they are too long and detailed to print. I am using apologia books and have interspersed the CyberEd. It will be interesting to see which they prefer and which they learn more and easier from! They are enjoying the activities also. I also purchased Life Science and now just need to find time to use them all! Next year we will do Chemistry! I have told other home schooling families with middle to high schools about it too! I am an RN and the course content is complete and definitely at a high school level. I can't wait to see the rest of the program! Laura L., Co-op Member

Cyber Ed has made a huge difference in our daily science adventures. The program makes science jump off the page and brings this very important subject to life. No more 2 dimensional boring textbooks for us! The kids love the pictures and the interactive nature of the lessons, I love the organized manner in which the curriculum is presented. I am just thrilled with the Cyber-ed courses we've purchased through the Homeschool Buyer's Co-op. My younger child has been speeding through middle school life science, and my older homeschooler has been enjoying the high school level biology. The lessons are very comprehensive and presented in an engaging manner, but without gratuitous cartoon characters or goofy professors. A few evenings ago, after both had had some genetics material (one from Life Science and one from Biology), we watch a science channel program which reinforced this; and all this learning led to an hour discussion regarding how interesting this field is, potential discoveries and possible career choices!! All led by the girls! They love the interactive learning and can't wait to share what they've learned.

Are you all as thrilled to have cybered as I am? I waited 3 years to be able to use it! I found cybered products about five years ago and LOVED them! I have bought many products as stand alones but have waited abd longed for the day I could use a complete program. I am so pleased with the Chemistry and Life Science we have. The kids really like it alot. I love the interest level and the simplicity of the harder calculations in the chemistry. Unable to decide, I purchased all the CyberEd science curricula a couple of months ago. My son LOVES it. He is able to work independently of his younger sisters (it saves much rolling of the eyes), and he is thriving. Unlike other "brilliant" purchases whose websites quickly become a forgotten bookmark, there are never arguments to "do science," just happy "Okay"s.Cyndi Foisy, Co-op Member

I purchased CyberEd Biology for my 15-year-old 9th grader. I am using it in conjunction with a correspondence biology lab course. The available teacher materials make it easy to use. I print the supplement for each lesson - which includes summaries and illustraions, quizzes, and the "Comprehensive Exam." For more complicated lessons, I also print the "Study Guide," which provides a place to capture notes and makes the learning less passive. The tests are all mutiple choice, so I will supplement with more self-directed projects or assignments throughout the year.
The online lessons themselves are excellent. My son described the Biochemistry module as "almost the ideal learning experience" - new and interesting, but not difficult to follow.
I would add that the program is outstanding, but mapping to a standard high school biology text, it is missing lessons on specific classes of vertebrates (fish, mammals, reptiles - but there is a lesson on birds), human biology, and sexual reproduction. However, also comparing to a traditional HS biology book, the material presented is both more engaging and more rigorous, and the interactive activities in the online lessons help them remember what they've learned. I recommend the purchase of a textbook to complement the course as needed.Karen G, Co-op Member

My son really enjoys the Life Science lessions. Having a visually based curriculum is such an asset. He was so excited to be learning about bacteria today. Lesson planning is very simple for me since each topic includes a lesson, an applications, and a test.Erika P., Co-op Member

I am using the Biology module as a supplement to Apologia. It is very easy to find corresponding chapters and the material is excellent. My son is a very visual learner and the program has definitely made the material easier to learn. The interactive quizes are also very good. I am very impressed with the product and will continue to order science courses through Cybered. I purchased the whole complement of CyberEd Plato and my daughter uses it to round out the science material from her textbook. I like the fact that this system could stand alone on its own merits. If one chose not to purchase a textbook and workbook, your student could learn science just as easily by this method, and visiting the libary to check out books on the subject in particular. I like the fact that my daughter can take a quiz and determine for herself, if she really understands the material. I think it is an excellent product and hope that it is offered next year, as well. My daughter enjoys the ease of use and the excellent graphics/explanations. Yes, I have told other homeschoolers about this product. We will order this next year as well.
