Description:The Alvin J. Cox memorial fund was established to provide financial assistance to those attending a college or university.
Mr. Cox dedicated a large portion of his life to helping disadvantaged youth.
After his passing in 2006 his family has decided to continue on with Mr. Cox's mission.
For 2008 we are offering 8 individual scholarships, each worth $1000.
There are no special eligibility requirements for the scholarship. All students may apply regardless of their race, nationality or financial status. We ask that each student who wishes to apply write a brief essay. The essay may be on any topic of your choosing as long as it includes
:
1. Your reason for deciding to attend college.

2. Your chosen college major

3.Any reasons for why you believe you deserve the scholarship.
