| Northern International Livestock Exposition: Scholarships |

Deadline is soft; website will have further updates as we approach the deadline.
Kids win the chance to raise a heifer calf. Twenty awards of heifer calves have been given in the past. The purpose of the project is to help youth get a start in the beef cattle business by awarding a heifer calf to each of a number of project participants on the basis of merit, need, future goals, and ability to care for the heifer calf.
Each program participant will own their heifer calf jointly with NILE until the completion of the program, at which time NILE officials will sign off and teh participant will take full ownership of the heifer calf and her offspring.
The Northern International Livestock Exposition (NILE) -- best known for production of the annual NILE Stock Show, ProRodeo & Horse Extravaganza in October and the PBR NILE Bull Riders Invitational in April -- is a non-profit association based in Billings dedicated to the promotion of livestock, youth education and western tradition. Annually, NILE awards $5,000 in collegiate scholarships and more than $30,000 in live-animal scholarships to youth.
